The Alberta International Airshow is being contacted regarding the announcement of the Canadian Forces Snowbirds’ 2026 schedule, which includes shows in Edmonton on Wednesday, July 15, and Thursday, July 16. We were completely surprised by this announcement. We are not involved in this show and would not have made a request for mid-week day shows that would exclude a significant number of our AirShow fans.
We received a letter in December 2024 explaining that no airshows would be held at Villeneuve Airport until a full review of operations was completed. If it ever became possible to bring an airshow back to Villeneuve, we’d be notified.
